Coleen voted UK’s top fashion role model
Coleen McLoughlin has been voted the nation’s top fashion role model – yes, the girl who is going to marry Wayne Rooney wields more fashion power than Kate Moss or Posh Spice, or so claims Look Magazine, which polled its readers on who has the most influence over them. The 21-year-old has been crowned British women’s top style role model just five years after being propelled to fame as a puffa jacket-wearing schoolgirl.
Supermodel Kate Moss, 34, takes second place, followed by actress Sienna Miller, 26. Posh Spice, 33, is fourth, Kylie Minogue, 39, is sixth, followed by singer Gwen Stefani, 38, and Atonement actress Keira Knightley, 23. Singer Lily Allen, 22, and Angelina Jolie, 32, also make the top 10. Look editor Ali Hall said, ‘Coleen has transformed herself from puffa jacket schoolgirl to style icon in just a few years. Women relate to her as she’s more shapely than your average WAG (Wives And Girlfriends [of footballers]). She doesn’t mind splashing out on a designer item but mixes it with the great stuff available on the high street. She’s not afraid to try out the latest trends but will hold her hands up and admit she gets it wrong sometimes.’Hmmm, maybe so, but that doesn’t explain why Wayne still dresses as if he got up in the dark and fell into his clothes by accident!
