the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Expensive T-shirts Follow Pricey Denim Trend

Thursday 08th of February 2007 01:39:25 AM

Expensive T-shirts Follow Pricey Denim TrendGone are the days when people will spend a few hundred dollars for jeans. Now there are fifty dollar t-shirts and tank tops for women and one-hundred dollar t-shirts for men. These shirts are made from thin cotton material or other luxury fabrics that are imported from places like Italy or Japan.

The t-shirts are also costly because of the embroidery detail and special washing process they go through in order to maintain their strength for years. “It's all in how it ages. Our T-shirt will age better than any other T-shirt you own. In 3 to 5 years, it will still be your favourite shirt,” said Jason Bleick, a creative director for Ever, one of the companies that manufactures the luxury shirts.

With hand stitching and embroidery, the shirts are priced so high because in many cases they are original. Since many people enjoy wearing t-shirts, they may want to buy one that can be worn for different occasions instead of casual just days.

The shirts are available in department stores and online. They are quickly becoming a favourite of celebrities and others who can afford to buy more than one. Men and women seem to both like the shirts.

While there are many reasons for upscale t-shirts, Erin Bianchi, public relations manager of Bloomingdale's at Fashion Island said, “It's the same thing that happened with jeans. When one (brand) sells at a higher price point, others follow suit.”

Selling t-shirts and other items for more money than they may be worth is a trend that will continue as long as there are people who will buy them – or until the trend wears down and other piece of clothing becomes popular.
