the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Bowlers to Find New Sponsor

Friday 09th of February 2007 12:25:18 AM

Bowlers to Find New SponsorWhen Burberry, the manufacturing company that makes and sells polo shirts, and other apparel, announced that it will be closing its plant in South Whales, UK, many people were upset. This is because the manufacturing plant employed many people who will now be out of work.

As a show of their contempt, Ystradfechan Bowls Club, who has been wearing Burberry polo shirts for the past few years, has decided to find a new sponsor and not wear the shirts anymore during the tournaments.

“These shirts have been worn all over England, Scotland and Wales, and people see them. It's disgusting the way the Burberry workers have been treated and we've all got friends and family working for the company. We didn't want to be associated with Burberry any more,” said Ystradfechan Bowls Club chairman, Gareth Roberts.

The club was so outraged by Burberry’s decision, that some of the team polo shirts were burned in order to show their disappointment. Two of the lifetime members of the club work for Burberry.

“Burberry is a central part of the community, as we are,” said Roberts. Finding new sponsors for the club will be on the agenda for the next few months.

The polo shirts that were burned had the Burberry logo embroidered on the sleeve.

The reaction to Burberry leaving is not unusual when an area depends on one or two industries for jobs and income. The loss of Burberry will mean many people out of work, which will have an effect on the economy. “Clubs, businesses, supermarkets and everyone will be affected,” said Roberts.
