the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Banning Shirts from Clubs

Friday 09th of February 2007 12:51:30 AM

Banning Shirts from ClubsSome night clubs in the UK are banning those who are wearing black or striped shirts from entering because they feel the people wearing them may be selling drugs or engaging in violent behaviour against others inside.

While most clubs do not allow those wearing jeans or trainers inside, this new rule about dark coloured clothing including polo shirts has not gone without scrutiny. But there are many who defend the decision. Opus’s operations director Robin Evans said, “In clubs those selling drugs are often identifiable by a certain kind of clothing and a striped shirt is one of them. It's not all striped shirts by any means, just those with particular labels.

Opus recently told a few people wearing different brands of shirts that cost different amounts of money that they were not allowed into the club.

“It's dark in a nightclub and if people go in wearing dark clothing they have the ability to disappear. That is not conducive to running a safe venue,” he added. Other clubs may be joining the ranks of those who are adding to their banned clothing list.

Since nightclubs have a responsibility to protect patrons while they are on club property they have to right to turn people away for reasons they feel are justified. But some people may find the ban excessive.

Banning certain types of clothing is not a new practice for some clubs, restaurants, and pubs, however. In Leicester, a few pubs banned Burberry clothing including polo shirts because they claimed those wearing the clothing were prone to causing problems inside.

While the clubs that are participating in this new ban do not name specific brands of promotional Clothing, those wearing black or striped shirts may be asked to leave.
