State employees in the Philippines will be receiving new uniforms made from natural fibres that can be found in the country. These include fibres from banana, pineapple, and hemp plants. Since these fibres are abundant in the Philippines, the country will save money by using natural resources and by employing those in the country to produce the uniforms. Importing uniforms has been expensive in the past.Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) director Carlos Tomboc said, “We should think of livelihood for fibre weavers and savings in foreign exchange as we will be producing textiles for the use of government workers instead of importing them.” Making uniforms from natural fibres is also more beneficial to the health of the people who wear them as natural fibres keep people cool during the hot season and warm during colder months.
Research conducted the use of these fibres has been ongoing by the Philippine Textile Research Institute for the past few years. Research including cost, production capabilities, and the amount of time it takes for uniforms to be manufactured were needed. After looking at all the research and testing which fibres are durable enough, state employees are now ready to receive uniforms made from these fibres.
Using natural fibres will also help the local economy by giving people more job opportunities and also promoting the use of natural fibres for other uses as well. Other agencies, companies, and retailers, will be able to use these fibres to make uniforms and other types of clothing as well. This will also help the economy.
The Philippine Textile Research Institute is now working with those in the private sector to make natural fibres more accessible to those who want to use them.

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
Delighted with the results. Very popular so repeat orders very likely.
great service, no problems at all
