Nerd Culture on a T-shirt

Each week, online t-shirt designers from Nerdyshirts release a new design that people can buy. In recent weeks, they released a t-shirt that paid homage to The Beatles ‘Let it Be’ Album Cover. The black t-shirts featured the four band mates as they were on the cover of the album, with the phrase, ‘Let It Bii’ at the top. Combining pop culture with nerd culture is the goal of the designers and the web site.

The idea for the printed T-shirts came from Fatoorechi’s parents, who were visiting from the UK at the time. They suggested the company do a Beatles album cover, so Fatoorechi narrowed down his choices to the ‘Let It Be’ cover. Armstrong did the artwork for the shirt.

printed T-shirts are available in men’s and women’s sizes and are reasonably priced. New designs are released each Monday with some older shirts available at discounted prices. This web site is perfect for those who want to buy t-shirts, but who don’t want to own the same shirts as everyone else.

Other popular Nerdyshirts include Nintendo Family Tree, and Pacman headbands and wristbands.

Nerdyshirts, started in 2004, by Myke Armstrong and Jacob Fatoorechi, became incorporated after the addition of William Barnes in 2006. The company uses 100% cotton t-shirts and allows people to choose their own printed T-shirts when visiting the web site.

Those who may have design ideas can send them to Nerdyshirts via the web site. The company pays for ideas and also has an affiliate marketing program that people can use on their own web site.
