For those who like to play video games, there is a clothing line that produces printed T-shirts inspired by some of the most popular video games on the market today. Started by two friends, Keith Slater and Eddie Lehecka, their clothing line Roots26 has already sold out of its first batch of printed T-shirts and is in the process of launching a second batch this week. Their web site is available to take orders at any time. Both Slater and Lehecka have a passion for video game design and programming, but they noticed a lack in printed T-shirts for those who also share this passion. “We set out to create designs that would appeal to the gamer culture. The initial response from the target audience has been strong, but the design has proven to have an even broader appeal to a more mainstream audience as well,” said Slater.
Slater and Lehecka have been in the design and programming business for many years and understand what their customers are looking for. Both also have experience running their own online businesses.
Slater, who lives in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, earned a degree in computer programming and had worked as a programmer and designer before going into business with Lehecka. Lehecka lives in Anaheim, California, USA and has been designing web sites since he was eleven. He also runs an online community where gamers who enjoy music-related games can meet.
Roots26 is based in St.Louis, and is part of the friends’ larger company, Too Much Dedication, LLC. New printed T-shirts should be available for sale soon.
