When five-year-old JLexus WyKia Lee was hit by a car and killed last month in Mobile, Alabama, USA, the person responsible, Joshua Smith, left the scene. He was later caught and pled not guilty. In order to make sure that JLexus’ memory is not forgotten, and as a way to help bring more awareness to the responsibility people have to make sure children are safe, her family has created posters and printed T-shirts with the girl’s picture on the front. These items promote safe driving. “They need to stop driving like they do and watch out for them (children),” said Tyese Pelt, JLexus' aunt.Family members wore printed T-shirts to the funeral and have been wearing them since as a way to tell others to drive safely and to watch out for children on the road. “They were sitting around and talking about how they can make sure this tragedy could be used for something good,” said Dr. Harvey White, who is the director of the University of South Alabama Center for Healthy Communities. Family members who had friends who worked for the centre decided on using posters and printed T-shirts as a way to send a message to those who drive recklessly and to parents, who need to watch their children at all times.
Partnering with a printing company and the centre for healthy communities, the family was able to print posters and printed T-shirts at a discounted price. Being able to take a tragedy and try to something positive is a way to keep the memory of loved one’s alive. It is also a way to help others from having to deal with similar tragedies.

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
Delighted with the results. Very popular so repeat orders very likely.
