Local T-shirt Company Sticks to Its Values

When four friends decided to start a t-shirt printing and merchandising company in Oklahoma, USA, they wanted to create something different. Tree and Leaf Clothing, Inc. sell their t-shirts at a local store, where they are very popular because of the simple designs and colours. “They sell just as well as brands that are nationally known. People put it on and like the softness and the prints,” said Mike Decker, who owns The Ridge, where the printed T-shirts are sold.Based on five values: hope, art, truth, love, and music, the company has been very successful so far. “Ironically, we found each other at the same time and our ideas converged about a year and a half ago. We want to be a T-shirt company that’s not like any other. We want our stuff to be different. We sat down one day to think of what we wanted our company to stand for and these five central things are what really stuck out to us,” said Dusty Gilpin, who designs the printed T-shirts.
Tree and Leaf Clothing, Inc. also supports local talent by giving t-shirts to bands in the area to wear. “If a band sounds like they’re legit, we’ll give them shirts hoping they’ll wear them when they perform. This is pretty much for advertisement because we both want to get big so we help each other out in this way,” said Gilpin.
While Tree and Leaf Clothing can only be purchased locally, they have created a web site for other people who may be interested in owning one of their printed T-shirts. The designs are simple, but they are colourful. One of their most popular designs is a leaf and vine on the front of the t-shirt.

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
Delighted with the results. Very popular so repeat orders very likely.
