the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Costly T-shirts and the Reasons Why People Buy Them

Monday 19th of March 2007 09:44:28 PM

Costly T-shirts and the Reasons Why People Buy ThemThose who have a lot of money to spend do not think much of spending an extravagant amount on printed T-shirts and other items that do not cost nearly enough to produce. It is more about power than it is about the quality say those who follow luxury item trends. “It may be incredibly wasteful to some people, but it makes you feel powerful. It makes you feel wealth. You’re paying for that intrinsic value,” said Milton Pedraza, who works for the Luxury Institute, a company that watches how wealthy people spend their money.

How printed T-shirts are made has very little to do with the overall cost of the shirt. While many higher priced shirts may have been hand stitched, many times consumers are paying for the label rather than double stitching on the collar. “There’s some added value, but the reality is there’s not much more cost involved. The bigger part of the equation is the name,” said Pedraza.

Most people shop for discount items, sale items, and other incentives when buying printed T-shirts and other clothing. They would never think to spend more than the equivalent of a good meal or a car payment on a shirt. But for those who have money, being able to spend it somehow is all they are concerned about. While there has been an increase in luxury spending, it is not predicted to last. Because of recent stock market flubs, housing market slowdowns, and international issues, many are putting an end to their luxury spending.

When people have to curb their spending habits, they will usually cut off clothing and other items in favor of saving money to pay for necessities. As the old saying goes, a t-shirt is still just a t-shirt after all.
