To honour the memory of ten-year old hockey team member Nicholas Lambden, who passed away after being struck in the back of the head by a hockey puck, coaches, players, and family members decided to design printed T-shirts featuring the boy’s number and nickname. “We've been looking at doing something to honour Nicholas's memory and we discussed this with the family. They're behind it 100 per cent,” said Matt Newby, the team’s director of business operations.Lambden was a part of the Canadian Guelph Storm hockey team. His number was 12 and he went by the nickname wheels. printed T-shirts are crimson in colour and feature the Storm logo on the front and a patch that has the number 12 on wheels. The shirts will be sold during the playoffs and in local sports shops. To those who new Lamden, this is a good way to remember him and what he contributed to the team.
In addition to printed T-shirts, the possibility of naming a trophy after Lambden and awarding it to the player named the most outstanding of the season by the Guelph Minor Hockey Association. All proceeds from t-shirt sales will go to charity in the Lambden’s name.
Honouring those who have passed is not always easy, especially when they are young. Being able to help others through tragedy is one way to begin the healing process. Selling printed T-shirts and giving the money to charity is a way for the whole community to remember one of their own. Giving an award away is another way to show the communitie’s appreciation and respect. This is also a way to create a legacy that will be passed on to others.

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
