Companies like Nordstrom’s have begun adding RSS feed to their web sites as a way to encourage customers to receive alerts about new clothing, sales, and size availability. Everything from printed T-shirts to dresses is available on the RRS feed. Using this type of technology is a way to prompt customers to take advantage of sales, buy more merchandise, or browse the web sites.Other clothing companies have also begun using technology including ads on popular blog sites, opening profile pages on MySpace, and RSS feed. So far, it is too soon to tell whether these marketing methods will pay off as many people still do not shop primarily online. But companies like Billabong and Banana Republic are trying them anyway. In a press release, Jamie Nordstrom, president of Nordstrom direct said, "Fashion is constantly evolving. ... We're giving them even more of an opportunity to stay current.”
Consumer reaction has been slow, but positive in many ways. "That's a good idea. It's very specific to what I want and I can get the latest styles,” said online shopper Rina Dakaney of Nordstrom’s RSS feed option. An increase in internet shopping is expected to increase as more and more companies introduce their web sites and online catalogues.
While shopping in stores hasn’t gone completely out of fashion, being alerted when printed T-shirts and other items go on sale through technologies such as RSS feed, can save money and time. Other companies including Wal-Mart will be debuting RSS feed on their web site soon. Making it more convenient for customers will help maintain loyalty and maybe persuade more to shop online the next time they need a piece of clothing.

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
Delighted with the results. Very popular so repeat orders very likely.
great service, no problems at all
