Technology giant Hewlett-Packard has announced that it will be taking over online retailer Arteis, who owns graphic and logo design company, Logoworks, and their logo computer application program, Logomaker, allows small business owners to create logos and other designs from home.Logoworks manufacturers business cards, stationary, brochures, and other items for small and large businesses in addition to logos and other types of embroidery. "Today's small businesses are increasingly turning to the Web for marketing tools and services that strike a balance between affordability and quality," said Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of the Imaging and Printing Group at HP in a statement.
"By adding Logoworks' Web-based graphic design service to our portfolio, HP can now provide the right mix of cost savings, flexibility and professional quality to help make a small business look big," he said in the same statement.
Jonathan Munk, a spokesperson for Logoworks said in a recent interview with eWeek, “HP plans to leverage Logoworks' technologies and services to provide small businesses with solutions that help them look like a 'big' business, including packages that range from professional, yet affordable, logo design, to the development of a full suite of marketing collateral. HP's acquisition will strengthen Logoworks' ability to provide professional design solutions at a fraction of market cost to our customers.”
