Safar and Esko, two companies well known in the screen printing industry, are teaming up to introduce Safar’s new Laser Direct Screen System (LDS), that will feature Esko software. The new system will make it easier for screen printers to create stencils. From printing labels, to t-shirt printing
, this new technology will cut down on manufacturing costs and labour.“Being the market leader of mesh materials to the screen printing industry, we have teamed up with partners to create the Sefar LDS solution covering all the process steps from data input to direct exposure of our special screen printing meshes. We evaluated several RIPs and concluded that the Esko FlexRip and the special Esko screening options provide superior quality and flexibility.” said Safar director of marketing and sales, Andreas Schneider.
Using laser technology, LDS is able to create smooth lines and intricate details. For those in the t-shirt printing industry, this will make printing large orders for sports teams and other organisations much easier to replicate.
“Esko has a strong track record for offering superb quality output with the widest variety of printing techniques: offset, flexo, gravure and screen. With the Esko FlexRip, Rugby screens and DynaCell, we provide an optimised imaging solution for silk screen printing, adding to the high productivity and quality of Sefar's integrated Sefar LDS offering,” Jef Bogaerts, manager for global distribution partners at Esko.
Once the stencil is created, it can be transferred onto a screen from a digital file that instructs the laser where to draw. This new technology will enhance the quality of the t-shirt printing process and allow printers to run more batches because of the time they will save by using this product.

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
Delighted with the results. Very popular so repeat orders very likely.
great service, no problems at all
