the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Designing and Selling T-shirts Using CafePress

Thursday 10th of May 2007 02:01:31 AM

Designing and Selling T-shirts Using CafePressFor Bobbi Barbour, owner of Dollfacepunk, an online t-shirt and accessory company, getting some help from online printing company, Cafepress, has helped her manage a business, attend college, and work in a boutique. While Barbour creates the designs for her printed T-shirts, Cafepress prints them and ships them to customers. “I do the promoting but they do the shirts, so they press them and send them, do returns, credit cards, and we split the profits," said Barbour.

Running her own design business has helped Barbour express herself and comment on everything she sees. "It could be anything from an inside joke to just something I think would look good. It could be watching TV, it could be something I see, it could be home décor,” said Barbour. After creating a design she likes, uploading to the Cafépress web site is easy. With a variety of printed T-shirts styles, Barbour has the opportunity to cater to many different types of people. She has shirts for men, women, and children in a variety of sizes and styles.

With three different sections of her online store to shop from, customers are always able to find the perfect garment. Each section, Retro, Lux, and Rock, has about twenty designs. While sales can differ from month to month, Barbour is confident she can remain in business.

Web sites like Cafepress help online businesses by taking care of the merchandising end. Store owners upload their designs and they are able to place them on many types of objects including t-shirts, mugs, mouse pads, and much more.
