the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Pop Culture Sells T-shirts

Wednesday 20th of June 2007 09:17:52 PM

Pop Culture Sells T-shirtsGetting ideas these days for printed T-shirts is not difficult. Many designers and graphic artists use real life incidents involving celebrities, politicians, and ordinary people doing odd things as their inspiration. By selling their t-shirts online, they are able to reach more people than they would have if they had traditional storefronts. Since these shirts are topical, they are usually produced in limited runs so designers don't lose money on them.

One of the most popular sites to sell printed T-shirts on is Café Press. While they don't create the designs, they are a very powerful tool when it comes to selling them. "We as a company don't come up with the designs for the shirts. These are people pretty much anywhere in the world expressing their ideas," said Marc Cowlin, CafePress' public relations manager.

But with many online t-shirt printing companies out there, designers don't necessarily have to rely on other web sites to market their goods. Creating a loyal following of t-shirt fans begins by creating a web site and marketing it. Most designers create blogs so they can introduce the world to their latest designs or offer commentary about social and political issues. By commenting on pop culture, they are increasing their presence online. Once a company has enough loyal fans, they can be in business for many years.
