A new organisation called the British Garment Decorators Federation (BGDF) has launched a web portal that can be used as a networking platform for those in the industry, for general discussion, and to help identify new trends. "We have launched the BGDF not as a trade association or even as a business, but simply because my colleagues and I recognised that the industry would benefit from a forum whereby members can share views, opinions, experiences etc on all aspects of their business," said Colin Gillman, BGDF.Since screen printing, digital printing, and embroidery techniques have changed over the years due to new technology and larger operations, being able to discuss new ideas and receive feedback can help many companies improve their current operations and become more profitable.
So far, over 75 members are registered and threads have already been created, which means that people are actively using the portal. Getting those who work in different design fields is another goal of the BGDF portal. "We are already seeing a number of sign makers diversifying into the garment heat transfer and embroidery market," said Gillman.
While membership in BGDF is free, sponsors pay for ads posted on the site and members are encouraged to take a look at what these companies have to offer. "We are hoping that the industry will support us to reinvest in the site and marketing campaigns to generate awareness for the site. We already have a few sponsors, and perhaps the most notable is the MHM Group, who have already seen the value of our portal," said Gillman.

Good all round. Will order again.
the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
