the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Macy's Pulls Offensive T-shirts from ShelvesIn an effort to sell trendy clothing to different social groups throughout the US, department store Macy's decided to sell printed T-shirts bearing the phrase 'Brown is the New White' targeting those of Latin American descent. But their plan backfired when customers began to complain. Macy's pulled all shirts off the shelves and issued an apology.

The company issued the following statement: "We are constantly looking for unique and differentiated merchandise that will resonate with our customers as hip, current and trendy. We also continue to work in developing business relationships with minority vendors to serve the growing diverse customer base. We apologise if customers have found some of the merchandise offensive and have removed the style that they found objectionable."

But many in the community were not impressed by the apology and wonder why the department store felt consumers would be amused by the printed T-shirts. "Macy's doesn't know a whole lot about what Hispanics want in the way of clothing. It also says that Macy's doesn't understand Hispanic culture. More importantly, it says that Macy's doesn't understand the Hispanics that lives in the U.S. and the kinds of products they are looking for," said Dr. Ed Rincon, a Hispanic marketing specialist.
