the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

UK Children Have Their Say

Monday 27th of August 2007 01:32:50 AM

UK Children Have Their SayIn a bold move by the Children’s Commissioner for England, Sir Al Ansley-Green, 115 children, whose ages ranged from eight to eighteen from 11 different areas in England, were given the opportunity to decide how half the commissioner’s budget would be spent to improve their lives.

For three days, the children participated in various activities including t-shirt printing as a way to brainstorm and learn from each other the issues that were the most important in their lives. While issues ranged from protecting civil liberties to the importance of friends and family, the issue that won was violence.

Many of the children have been bullied by fellow classmates, friends, and others in their social circle, while others witnessed violence against someone they cared about. It was decided that the funds would be used to start a campaign against violence that is geared toward children.

In addition to t-shirt printing, the children also participated in creating original artwork and role playing. “The message I want to get across is even though we look different it doesn't mean we are. I've been lucky, but friends of mine have encountered discrimination; some shrugged it off and some have been greatly affected. They've stopped going to areas because their life was being made difficult because of their colour,” said a fifteen year old named Thoryn about his artwork, which consisted of a face made up of smaller ones.
