On November the 11th the Plymouth Argyle Football Club hosted a T-shirt sales event which raised money for the Royal British Legion. Giving the fans the chance to show their support, the T-shirts boasted the famous red poppy motif and they were used as a one off away T-shirt that the fans could wear with pride. Whilst the T-shirts were mainly sold on the 11th November there were still six shirts left being sold over their website up until the 1st of December.
The Argyle Football Club wasn’t the only team to get involved in the remembrance uniforms however - Manchester City Football Club and Oldham Athletic Football Club also showed their support by wearing the motif on their shirts. Manchester City Football Club has also offered to sell T-shirts over Ebay in support of the RBL.
The RBL is said to be delighted at the show of support and it truly is a great way to remember all of those who lost their lives for their country. A T-shirt can say so many things and in this instance they are showing that support can be given in a number of ways and wearing a T-shirt with the poppy emblem is one of them!
