the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

Artists' Co-Op Hopes to Attract More Artists

Saturday 29th of September 2007 04:51:46 AM

Artists' Co-Op Hopes to Attract More ArtistsAfter renovating an old factory that once produced cornices and other decorative items for buildings and homes, Adam Thompson and Paulo Moreira, a musician and a graphic artist, decided to call their building the Factory Arts Centre. It is located in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. Both own businesses in the building and now they want to extend an invitation to other artists who need workspace or a storefront to sell their work and services.

"If we have a diversity of different graphic designers and have their portfolios here, then we can show those portfolios to our customers, who would say, 'That's what we're looking for,'" Thompson explains as the reason for wanting to fill the space with those who are in the t-shirt printing business and other art forms.

Even though there are currently only two businesses in the Factory Arts Centre, Thompson's and Moreira's, they want to allow other artists to use the empty space free of charge in order to promote the building and the sense of artists working together. Moreira, who owns Factory Arts Custom Apparel, is creating up to 1,000 printed T-shirts each day. Thompson, who co- owns Resonant Studio Works, helps Moreira when work slows down at the studio. "The most gratifying thing for us is going out in the community and seeing the T-shirts that we printed up," said Thompson.
