the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.

UK Knitting Show Attracts Thousands

Thursday 01st of November 2007 08:44:30 PM

UK Knitting Show Attracts ThousandsThe Knitting and Stitching Show, which was recently held in London, UK, attracted over 50,000 people from different parts of the world. The three day event included knitting and embroidery exhibits, demonstrations of new and traditional sewing, and booths for vendors to meet and sell their goods.

"The whole business has changed enormously over the last twenty years because quite simply, women are empowered now to use their income to do things that fundamentally, they enjoy and as a consequence, stitch or knit has become an extension of people's creativity and has become an art form in its own right and so many different things like that and this exhibition has always represented that."

"As a consequence, the rationale for the show is that this is a celebration. It's the opportunity for lacemakers to get together with knitters, to get together with embroiderers, to get together with beadworkers to get together with chabory artists and that's one of the things that we find particularly exciting," said Andrew Salmon, from The Knitting and Sewing Show.

The purpose of the show was to introduce new products and showcase different methods of embroidery that may not be used in a visitor's country of origin. Since the show began a few years back, participation has grown at least 10% each year and shows not sign of stopping.
