Thais Rush For Pink Shirts

People are standing outside stores at 4:00 AM to ensure that they can buy a pink t-shirt. Pink t-shirts are the latest craze in Thailand since King Bhumibol left the hospital wearing a pink shirt and pink blazer. Ever since then, people have gone to great lengths to get their hands on a pink shirt. Shirts are being manufactured day and night to ensure that there is enough to supply the demand. There is no telling when this craze will be over and retailers want to reap the benefits while they are popular. Manufacturers are producing all types of pink shirts to make them more appealing to everyone, everything from printed t-shirts, polo-shirts to jackets like the King wore after his discharge from the hospital.

The reason why the Thai King has caused such a stir for these pink shirts is because he was told by a royal astrologer that pink will bring him good luck in health. Since then the King has been wearing pink especially ever since his hospitalization for heart problems and other health conditions.

People admire this King and he is the longest standing monarch King in the world. Almost every Thai home has a picture of the King. The Thais want to stand behind their King and are buying these pink shirts to give him good luck in health. In the past, the King has started other fashion crazes such as wearing yellow every Monday because it was the day of the week he was born. Thais caught on to that craze as well. Now people are wondering what will be the next popular color the King will declare, until then retailers will continue to provide the pink shirts to its customers.
