AOL Sports reports that after a touchdown during an Atlanta Falcon’s game in the US, Roddy White showed off his homemade printed t-shirt that read, ‘Free Mike Vick’. Because of this unauthorized t-shirt message, the US football player was fine $10,000USD. Roddy White’s printed t-shirt expressed his opinion about the recent imprisonment of Mike Vick another US football player. Mike Vick was recently charged and found guilty of engaging in dog fights at his home. This dog fighting ring included physical abuse to the dogs and death for some. The fighting ring was named Bad News Kennels and located in the state of Virginia in the US. Mike Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison for his crime and has been banded from the team.
Roddy White said that his printed t-shirt was only to show his support to his friend and express how much they miss him. Mike Vick was a valuable player for the team and White wanted everyone to know how much they really need him on the team. T-shirts can mean so much to people and the message that they portray is not always what is intended. If the US football player chose a different message he may not have been fined. White knew the rules of unauthorized messages but felt that he needed to make a statement.
