Scoop Health of Independent News reports that the incidence and death rate for New Zealand women is rising. One out of eight women suffers from breast cancer and the disease is the cause of death of 600 people each year. Now, Glassons and The Breast Cancer Research Trust have collaborated “Shake it for Good”. Research takes a lot of money and these campaigns are helpful in the fight towards beating breast cancer once and for all.Eight printed t-shirts have been specifically made for this campaign. Designs are from six well-known designers, Karen Walker, Zambesi, Cybele, Kate Sylvester, Trelise and Ruby. The other two designs are from two new designers Jun Arita and Chris Cherry. Jun Arita is the first public person to take part in this campaign and is the winner of the competition, Air New Zealand Fashion Week.
The eight designs include an exploding heart, heart shaped clover, shaking dog, mythological phoenix bird and a star for hope. These can be purchased from any Glassons store. If you do not have a store in your area, anyone can purchase these shirts online at www.glassons.co.nz. Each printed t-shirt is $29.99USD and $10 of the cost goes to breast cancer research.
