Suffolk Free Press reports that the Sudbury shop staff is getting ready for their glitzy ball March 5th to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer research. The assistance manager, Ange George at Javelin in Friars Street is organizing the ball because she a breast cancer survivor. Ange George recovered from breast cancer two years ago but the gene runs through her family and her mum and sister both died from it. She now wants to make a difference and helps others who are also suffering from the disease.
Before the ball, the staff at the shop are wearing printed t-shirts and selling them for £14.99. All the proceeds from the shirts sold will go directly to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity. The shirts will be sold all the way up until the ball.
At the ball, more items will be auctioned off to support the charity. Some of the items include a Manchester United shirt signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, tickets to Grease put on by the West End production and a light aircraft flight. There will be more items as they are acquired.
Tickets to the ball on March 5th are £50. You can get more information about it by calling 01787 374890 or 07811 106275. The ball is also still looking for donations in the form of money or items to be auctioned off. If you would like to donate, contact the organisation by calling the ticket numbers above.
