Inventor Spot reports there is a new t-shirt, which is comfortable to wear and is knife proof! Now you can confidently walk down the street during all hours of night not having to worry about knife attacks. A Japanese company owned by Nihon Uni designed the shirt. He is originally a uniform manufacturer. He decided that he would branch from uniform industry and try to protect those around him with these protective t-shirts. He first came up with the idea when he was watching the news discussing knife attacks on children and clerks at convenient stores. The design, taken from military armor, is thin, soft, and flexible so people will want to wear them. The t-shirts are three times stronger than your regular cotton t-shirt. If you are interested in purchasing these t-shirts, be prepared to pay 19,000 to 52,000 yen, which equals to several hundred Euros. I guess there is a price for safety no matter how much you want to help people. Furthermore, the shirts are not entirely knife proof. If someone slashes another person wearing the shirt, there should be no injury but if the person stabs a person directly, the t-shirt offers no protection.
