Glenn Jones from Threadless Partners up with Despair

Threadless.com is full of printed t-shirt designers who are trying to make it big or just make some extra money on the side. Making it big is what one contributor is on the road to doing because he has now partnered up with a bigger organisation because of his popularity on the t-shirt printing social network site.

Threadless.com is a site where people upload their designs. If the site believes they would be favourable to the members, they choose it to so others can vote on it. The person's design who receives the most votes will have the design printed on shirts by Threadless and sold online. The winner receives $2000, divided as $1500 in cash and $500 in store credit.

Glenn Jones has been a member of the site since 2004 and has won for having the best design 20 times. He has submitted over 100 designs to the site and has had an overwhelming response. People are contacting him, people are blogging about him, and he really has built up quite a big fan base.

Jones thought about opening up his own t-shirt printing business but he didn't feel stocking and shipping would be cost effective for him. Luckily for him, a big name US clothing company contacted him about creating designs for them. The company is Despair and after Jones successfully completed some of the ideas Despair asked from Jones, they are offering to work with him some more and continue to produce his designs. This is perfect for Jones because he can now make more money without having to deal with the production or shipping, which he didn't want to handle in the first place.
