Peak Clothing will be expanding with a new a manufacturing centre located in Kirby-in-Ashfield. Peak Clothing currently manufactures its clothing in Sri Lanka and it already has a marketing and service centre located in Croydon, Surrey. The addition of a Peak Clothing manufacturing centre in Kirby in Ashfield is particularly exciting since the clothing industry was hit very hard here when jobs began to be sent overseas in the 1980s and 1990s. The new manufacturing centre will be on New Line Road in a refurbished property.
The clothing manufacturer anticipates that it will hire a dozen people and that it will expand the availability of its clothing in the United Kingdom.
Peak Clothing’s managing director told the Chad newspaper, “This new site will complement our business-to-business operation and gives us the opportunity to create a warehouse, distribution centre and embroidery and print service in the UK."
Peak Clothing specializes in many different types of clothing including uniforms, work clothes, embroidery and printed garments. embroidery and printed promotional clothing is available on T-shirts, sweatshirts and polo shirts. Other work wear such as corporate clothing, high visibility clothing and hospital clothing is also available.
The company uses high quality material sand is committed to providing customers with an opportunity to purchase the best items possible. Peak clothing is made by Peak Textiles which provides clothing to some of the world’s most famous retailers including: The Gap, Eddie Bauer and Liz Claiborne.
Peak Clothing offers a relatively fast turn around time and can currently complete an order in 3 – 5 weeks with an additional 13 -18 shipping days for a UK destination. This will likely be faster once the company is manufacturing its goods in Kirby-in-Ashfield.
The expansion of Peak Clothing’s business in the United Kingdom will likely be good for competition and for customers.
