The newly designed shirts also have traditional quarters that are a lighter blue to match the logo of their sponsor’s Cowlin’s new logo.
Fans can get a preview of the new uniforms at the club’s homepage http://www.bristolrovers.premiumtv.co.uk where player Craig Hinton is modeling the new shirt. The first fans to purchase the new home shirts will be able to do so online on June 28. The shirt will be available for sale at Memorial Stadium at the Rover’s annual fan day on July 6. The club has taken care to make sure that there will be sizes available for everyone. Adult T-shirts range in size from small to 5xL and youth sizes are available. Youth shirts start at 27 pounds and adult shirts are 35 pounds.
Other new merchandise will include a new training kit that includes a tracksuits, T-shirts, jackets and polo shirts. This is expected to be available shortly.
The feedback from fans seems to be positive. Fans are excited both about the new shirts and the next 2008 – 2009 season. At least three exciting games will be played against other quality clubs over the summer in preparation for the 2008 – 2009 season.
The Bristol Rovers trace their roots to 1883. They have been through at least 14 home shirts since then. The original uniform was black and gold but since 1885 most, though not all, of the uniforms have included a shade of blue.
The new uniforms promise to bring some new excitement to the Bristol Rover’s 2008-2009 season.
