Clothes Show Live in its 20th Year

The Clothes Show is in its 20th year of showcasing fashionable clothing. The show is a mixture of fashion, charity and new design talent. The shows hosts the Clothes show Live Design Awards which give emerging young artists a chance to display their most ingenuous designs. The chosen designs are used in name brand fashion lines such as Fiorelli handbags. The winning designs are incorporated in all fashion styles from printed t-shirts to evening wear and then sold in stores across the country.The popular awards handed out at the annual fashion show include Young Fashion Photographer of the Year and Young Designer of the Year. The photography award is sponsored by Nikon and the winner will be able to work with a top photographer. The Young Designer winner will get to see his or her styles worn by professional models on the Clothes Show Live catwalk. The emerging designer will also get to work with a well-known British fashion designer.
The Clothes Show Live also makes charitable contributions in the form of prize money distributed to universities and/or as design scholarships to students attending design schools. The purpose of the charitable awards is to encourage new design talent and to promote the continuance of design schools. The show is supported by a number of recognized fashion greats such as Jesse Metcalfe, Gok Wan and Nicky Hambleton-Jones to name a few. Naturally model scouts will also be on the lookout for new modelling talent.
Clothes Show Live is held in the Birmingham, UK Fashion Theatre. The theatre seats 6,500 making it one of the biggest style shows in the world. This year the show celebrates its 20th anniversary with fashion, dance and guest performances by name artists. While in Birmingham to attend the show, visitors can shop High Street shops and enjoy the many restaurants and bars in the area. The Clothes Show Live is held in December each year.
