Montreal Fashion Week Held for 15th Year in a Row

The Montreal Fashion Week is being held for the 15th year in a row and for the 7th year in a row has collaborated with P&G Beauty. The event will showcase fashions from Canada and France for the spring and summer 2009 season. The Montreal Fashion Week holds a variety of fashion lines and activities which include both established and new lines.The event boasts an attendance of 15,000 buyers and other interested parties. Not a lightweight fashion show by any means, the fashion brands include Denis Gagnon, Evan Bidell, Andy Thê-Anh, Yves Jean Lacasse, Marie Sant Pierre and Christian Chenail. This show lets both established and up and coming designers display their fashion lines.
As the show has reported, the spring and summer fashion collections of “Myco Anna, K.Maro, Dinh Bá Design, Aqua Di Lara, Caroline Néron Jewellery, Samuel Dong, Frank Lyman, Stone Rose, Simon Chang, HELMER, Éliane by Eliane Guindon, Katrin Leblond, Soïa & Kyo, Denis Gagnon, Anne-Marie Chagnon and Sans Soucie” will be found. There is also a special event which focuses strictly on Quebec designers.
For those interested in French fashions, there will be plenty of opportunity to see the designs of Charlotte, Gunhild, Jerome l’Huillier, Naco- Paris, Raag, ‘’Rivières de lune’’ Edween Pearson, Suzie Winkle and Tessa Delpeche. The French designer inclusions add an international flavor to the event. Buyers will come from Japan, France, the USA, and Great Britain to attend the Montreal show.
Like Fashion Weeks in other parts of the world, the event will offer many opportunities to attend exhibitions and workshops. Bringing together international buyers gives them the chance to exchange information and ideas. The area where they can mingle is called Le Showroom.
The Montreal Fashion Week has grown each year and is becoming more and more influential in the fashion world. The fashion lines include a variety of clothing such as printed t-shirts, dresses, elegant evening wear, beach wear and all other types of clothing. In other words, there is something for everyone interested in previewing the new spring summer fashions.
