Herman Todd, who was once an electrician, decided he wanted to learn how to make printed T-shirts, so he bought a how to book for $29.95. He read the book many times, underlined the passages until some of the pages came loose and then started on his business. This reading has really paid off for Herman Todd as he is expecting to earn $100,000 from his printing shop, Living Words Imprints in Hartford, this year. He started this business twelve years ago, part time, in a small basement room with $5,000 starting money. He then decided three years ago to open a proper purple trimmed store, which took him a year to move in because he had to change the interior around to fit in his machines. Todd has also had to hire another staff member, a former customer, Natasha Bordon, who saw that he was becoming over laden with work and offered her services.
He offers printed T-shirts, embroidered shirts, school uniforms, banners and other items through his business. Many university fraternities and sororities now use Herman Todd to design their t-shirts and sweatshirts. Other groups such as church groups and family reunions also make use of his printing services. He has recently been commissioned to work on school uniforms for local schools.
Before buying a new embroidery machine, the Tajima, that can stitch six shirts at a time, he bought a guide on digitalizing images with the machine's software. Herman Todd is still using books to help him keep up to date with t-shirt designing trends and he is planning to build a website after reading a guide on how to build websites! The only downside for him is that his store is located in a high crime area and some people are reluctant to shop at his store.

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
Delighted with the results. Very popular so repeat orders very likely.
great service, no problems at all
