In an attempt to keep current promotional clothingcompanies frequently update their catalogs. They incorporate new colors and silhouettes based on what is in fashion for the current season.
This year promotional clothing is very casual and extremely comfortable. This follows the trend in the fashion world toward casual business wear and extremely comfortable fabrics. Cotton and cotton blends make up the majority of promotional clothing sales due to the fabrics durability and comfort.
The silhouettes for 2009 are also very casual. No tight fitting oxfords or high buttoned collars this year. Employers are looking to keep workers happy and can do so by offering them loose but stylish promotional t-shirts and polo shirts. Promotional clothing items now come in a large variety of sizes so businesses are no longer stuck with the one size fits all look.
Color trends for 2009 are also changing. Experts reveal that they are seeing an influx of bright and bold pima cotton polo shirts and t-shirts. “Businesses today need people to be happy when they come into their store. What better way than to have your team of sales employees in bright, sunshiny yellow polo shirts,” says Dale Andersale of Product Placement.
Color choice can also depend of the business itself. Organic or eco friendly businesses will want to purchase eco friendly organic cotton tops in muted or earth tone colors. Other companies may choose to match the colors of their logo embroidered shirts to their company colors.
Whichever way a company chooses to go there are no hard set rules for matching this year. Mixing is very popular and some employers are purchasing shirts in coordinated colors for their employees. For the colder months a t-shirt with a complimentary oxford or sweatshirt is perfect. It allows the employee to still look professional while staying warm.
