A clothing designer has teamed up with his son to create a clothing line, Manuel Exclusive, for regular buckaroos. The designer Manuel Cuevas made a gold suit for Elvis Presley in the 1950s while working for the Hollywood tailor Nudie Cohen and then created further suits for other singers such as the Beatles and Bob Dylan. Manuel Cuevas is now 73 and has joined with his son Manuel Cuevas Jr., aged 34, to create fashionable looks for both men and women. The range has recently featured at the Olympus Fashion Week in New York. The range includes embroidered shirts and laser cut jeans for men. The women's line features capri pants and biker jackets embroidered with Aztec symbols. The designer's son said, "You'll always notice a little bit of western flair. That's part of the signature." Many of their new designs resemble some of Manuel's former designs for the stars. Manuel Jr has resisted working for his father for a long time as he said, "That's a big shadow to fill."
The range is designed to be practical but combines Mexican heritage with the current American world. Manuel Senior was taught embroidery by his mother and worked for the legendary tailor Sy Devore and Cohn who worked for the stars. Manuel then decided to open up his own studio. He still designs custom outfits for people such as Kid Rock and Ray Price. About ten years ago, Manuel Senior convinced his son that he was a natural designer and they both decided to work with each other. The elder Cuevas has no plans to give up work just yet and says "Who can ask for more than doing the thing you love to do and getting paid for it?"

the chance to review the image is great for checking everything over one last time before printing. the time between reviewing the print and delivery was another positive, taking only a couple of days. my friends were really pleased with the finished items. unfortunately i was out when the courier called. he didn't note the date or time of his attempted delivery on his card and he hadn't filled in when or if he would attempt delivery again. on repeatedly phoning the company on a friday between 4:50 and 6 i got no answer. i then tried again on the monday morning, but once again i got no answer. after phoning clothes2order they resolved everything. i realise this is outwith the control of clothes2order, but it soured an otherwise excellent service.
