It’s been 60 years since the Peanuts comic strip first appeared. Now its characters are icons. Not too many people around the world have not heard of Charlie Brown and his cohorts Lucy, Schroeder, Linus and others. And don’t forget the inimitable Snoopy and the little bird names Woodstock.the Peanuts gang are celebrating 60 years this year, and charities and fans around the world are celebrating with them. Many of the licensing organizations have created special products marking the birthday. These products include household items and clothing. The promotional clothing is often sold by charities as a way to raise money. Everyone loves Peanuts, because how can you help doing otherwise? These kids spend all their time trying to make sense of the world and they often reflect our own confusion and efforts. You can now buy t-shirts, sweatshirts, nightwear, sportswear, canvas bags and more with the Peanuts logo.
In October, Lacoste joins the birthday party. Lacoste and Special Product Consulting are releasing limited edition polo shirts for children. The sizes will fit kids from ages 2 to 16 years old. There are also adult shirts sold in limited quantity in designated shops around the world. You will find polo shirts with the Peanuts 60 Years World Tour logo in Paris, London, Milan, Hong Kong and many other places. Other licensees are selling printed t-shirts, hats and much more.
The fact that the Peanuts logo shirts are being sold in global shops just proves how well loved this comic strip really is to millions of readers. When creator Charles Schulz died there was some concern that the Peanuts comic strip would fade into oblivion. But Peanuts is obviously as popular as ever and that makes a lot of fans very happy. Happy Birthday Charlie Brown and gang...we love you!
