It’s World Book Day! World Book Day is a charity which aims to provide every child with a book of their own in order to encourage children to enjoy reading. This is done by sending Β£1 book tokens to children and young people in the UK who can then use it to spend on their very own book. The day is often celebrated with both children and adults dressing up as their favourite book character and with book inspired events up and down the country.

To celebrate world book day, we thought we would take a look at some of our book inspired t-shirts from some of our lovely customers.

Our customer, Ellie, has had some of her favourite book character illustrations printed onto a mix of long sleeve and short sleeve children’s t-shirts. Ellie says “I make my own t-shirts as the shops don’t offer enough variety for girls who don’t feel inspired by glitter and unicorns. There should be more book-themed clothes available for both boys and girls!” We think creating t-shirts inspired by your favourite books is a great idea and we can’t wait to see what t-shirts Ellie get’s printed next.

Another customer, Amelia, loves her ‘I believe in book fairies’ sweatshirt. The print was designed by Amelia’s mum and printed onto our
Fruit Of The Loom Premium Children’s Raglan Sleeve sweatshirt. Our printing team used a mix of direct to garment (DTG) and vinyl printing to produce the sweatshirt with vinyl being used on the back and DTG on the front.

One of our customers even used printed t-shirts to promote his very own book! Stephen Goldsmith is the author of ‘Polishing and Finishing For Jewellers and Silversmiths’ and for the books launch, he chose to print the books cover onto our Gildan Men’s Ring Spun, SoftStyle T-Shirt. We think this printed t-shirt looks great and is a fantastic way of promoting the book!
