I’m Oscar. I’ve been at Clothes2order for about five years now, starting out in customer service, moving through order processing, and now working on social and content.
Alongside that, I’m also in a band, so merch is something I see from both sides. I’ve helped customers build their ranges, and I’ve stood behind a merch table trying to sell it. You quickly learn what people actually wear and what just gets bought and forgotten.
These are a few of my go-to picks based on that. Nothing overcomplicated, just solid options that people tend to come back for.
It is fair to say that there has been a bit of a shift over the last few years on what merch actually is and what it means.
More artists and brands are starting to think about how their merch actually feels to wear, not just how it looks on the rail. If something is genuinely comfortable, people will keep reaching for it. That is where better quality garments come in.

When You Want to Step Things Up
A good example is the Anthem Organic Vegan T-shirt.
It is softer and lighter than your standard t-shirt, with a smoother surface that helps prints come out cleaner. It also keeps its shape well, which you notice after a few washes. It feels less like something you bought at a show and more like a t-shirt you would choose to wear anyway.
From a printing point of view, it is a solid option too. It works well for both DTG and embroidery, so designs stay sharp rather than fading into the fabric too quickly.
Merch Is Bigger Than Just T-Shirts
T-shirts will always be the starting point, but they are no longer the only thing people look for.
Accessories have become a big part of modern merch, and caps are an easy addition. They are simple, wearable, and give people another way to support something without going for a full graphic t-shirt.
The Beechfield Vintage cap is a good example.
It has that slightly worn-in look straight away, which gives it some character without overdoing it. The fit is relaxed and sits comfortably, so you do not feel like you are fighting with it to get it to look right.
We used the corduroy version for our own band recently and they sold out quicker than we expected. People were drawn to something a bit different from the usual options.

Why This Approach Works
The main thing that has changed is how people treat merch.
It is not just something you pick up at a gig and forget about. People want items they will actually wear on a regular basis. That means comfort, fit, and overall feel matter more than they used to.
There is still a place for the classics, but mixing in higher quality options or adding a few well-chosen extras can make a range feel more complete.
It gives people more choice and makes the whole offering feel more considered.
Bringing Your Own Merch Together
If you are putting together a merch range, it is worth thinking beyond just the design itself. The garment you choose plays a big part in how that design is received and how often it gets worn.
A strong range usually comes down to balance. Keep the dependable staples, then add a few pieces that stand out in terms of feel or style.
At Clothes2order, we help brands, artists, and businesses build ranges that do exactly that. Whether you want to keep things simple or try something a bit different, there are plenty of options to work with.
