Back in January, we announced that we would be supporting Lisa’s Army UK through our fund raising website, Charity Shirts. Lisa’s Army was launched by Lisa Wells, a 32 year old mother of 2 who was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer just 5 weeks after the birth of her second child. The aim of Lisa’s Army is to raise an army of of friends, family and supporters that will help Lisa by raising money and create a legacy for her 2 young daughters, Ava-Lily and Saffia.

Lisa’s Army worked with Charity Shirts to sell t-shirts to be worn at campaign events such as the Marching On Cancer walk which took place last Sunday.  Over 300 people took part in the event and wore their Lisa’s Army T-Shirts with pride and walked either 20km or 7km to show their support for the inspiring cause. The profits made from t-shirt sales were donated to the Lisa’s Army campaign.

We’re so proud to say that the Charity Shirts campaign has raised £3,549 for Lisa’s Army. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has purchased a t-shirt from the Charity Shirts website! Even though the t-shirt campaign has ended, Lisa’s Army have set up their own store where you can purchase t-shirts, hoodies and aprons as a way of supporting Lisa and her family. You can also donate to the Lisa’s Army Just Giving page which has raised just over £48,000 through donations.

Through our fundraising website Charity Shirts, we select one charity campaign to support per month. We support each charity with 100 free t-shirts which will be sold at Charityshirts.co.uk with all proceeds (ex VAT and delivery) being donated to the campaign. Any profits made on t-shirts sold after the first 100 will also be donated to the cause.

If you have a cause that would like to be supported by Charity Shirts, you can apply here.
