We are often touched and inspired by our customers and have set up a dedicated fundraising website, to support one cause or campaign per month. This month we are honoured to be supporting Lisa’s army.
Lisa Wells, 32 from Somerset, is a very brave mother of 2 daughters; Ava-Lily, age 5 and Saffia, just 13 weeks old. Only 2 weeks after giving birth to Saffia, Lisa received the heart breaking news that she’d been diagnosed with stage 4 liver and bowel cancer with only 2-12 months to live.
In the aftermath of this devastating news, Lisa has shown tremendous strength and courage and is determined to leave her girls with a lasting legacy. Lisa is looking to gather an army of friends, family and supporters to help her raise money to help carry and support her girls as well as helping other families in a similar position. Donate to Lisa’s JustGiving Page
Lisa has set up a JustGiving page in order to raise money for her 2 young daughters and her husband and childhood sweetheart, Dan who have been together for 16 years. The original page target was £10,000 but after just 2 weeks after it’s launch, supporters have raised an incredible £13,500. The new target of the page is £15,000 and we hope that this is easily beaten too.
As well as supporting Lisa’s family, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to Dorothy House, a hospice that provides care for adults, their families and carers. Support is provided either in the hospice, at home or at their outreach centres. Dorothy House have supported the Well’s family from day one, according to Lisa, and have helped with communicating the news to Lisa and Dan’s 5 year old daughter as well as their family and friends. Lisa hopes the money donated to Dorothy House will help the hospice continue their incredible work and support families in a similar position to her.

March On Cancer
On 11th March, Mother’s Day, Lisa’s Army will take part in a 20km march starting at Bratton Camp and Westbury White Horse, Westbury. In order to get as many people involved as possible and appeal to all abilities, the walk has been devised into 2 distances – 20km and 7km. Lisa hopes the march will be filled with fun and laughter. Order Your T-Shirt
With so many worthy campaigns and causes in need of support, we developed charityshirts.co.uk last May as a way of giving back. We’ve decided to use this platform to help Lisa by selling Lisa’s Army T-shirts which we hope will help raise a significant amount of money to support Lisa and her family.

If you’re wanting to take part in the march or simply want to help raise money, make sure you order Lisa’s Army T-Shirts, which you can find here. £11 from each of the first 100 t-shirts sold will be donated to Lisa’s Justgiving page and £8 per t-shirt after that will go to the same fund.
